Gifts for coffee lovers under £50: a cup, a pour, a place to start
The Companion cup set and useful additions to a filter-coffee routine, with a choice for one person or two.
A coffee gift does not have to replace someone’s grinder or favourite beans. A cup for their first coffee, a server for sharing or a tool missing from their brewing routine can be the more considered choice. Decide whether you are buying for drinking, brewing or serving.
For the first coffee: Companion, £30
The Companion set contains one 200 ml glass cup, one walnut-toned coaster and one matching spoon. Clear Glass keeps the drink in view; Smoked Glass gives the setting a darker tone. The handle has a square outline, and the coaster gives the cup its own place on the table.
Its 200 ml capacity suits a smaller serving. It is not a large latte mug. If the recipient usually drinks from a generous mug, check that a small coffee cup fits their routine before choosing it.
For two people: two Companion sets for £50
Choose matching finishes or one of each. The saving applies automatically in the bag when two eligible Companion sets are added. This is two individual cup, coaster and spoon sets. It is useful for someone who shares a morning coffee or wants the same setting in two places.
For a filter-coffee drinker
Look for a gap before buying equipment. A 600 ml glass server is for serving; a ceramic dripper is for brewing with a suitable filter. They are separate products, and filters and styling props are not included unless the product page says so. Check current prices on each page before choosing a gift within your budget.
