Coffee and matcha ratio calculator
A repeatable starting point for your next cup. Scale a pour-over, a bowl of matcha or a matcha latte, then adjust to your taste.
Your quantities
Water is the amount poured into the brewer. The cup will contain less because the grounds retain water.

Coffee: grams of grounds x water ratio x servings. The default 15 g coffee and 250 g water follows Hario UK’s reference V60 recipe. Matcha with water uses an adjustable starting example of 2 g powder and 60 ml water. The latte preset follows Ippodo’s 3 g powder, 100 ml water and 100 ml milk recipe. Follow your tea producer’s instructions where they differ.

Read the method
The calculator scales ingredients; it does not replace brewing instructions. Read pour-over ratios, making a first bowl or making a latte. Water poured through coffee is not the final drink volume. Allow space for foam in a latte cup.
