Gifts for matcha lovers: choose for the way they drink
A complete set for a first bowl, a spout for a latte, or one useful addition to an existing matcha routine.
The best matcha gift fills a gap in a routine. Someone starting from scratch needs a different present from someone who already has a favourite bowl. Before choosing, ask one question: do they drink matcha with water, or pour it into milk?
For a first bowl: the IKI set
The IKI six-piece matcha set brings together a ceramic bowl, ceramic whisk holder, bamboo whisk, bamboo scoop, wooden spoon and metal mesh sifter. It gives a beginner the tools for measuring, sifting and whisking in one place. Matcha powder is not included, so choose tea separately if you want them to start straight away.
Toasted Ivory pairs a pale bowl with a brown band around the rim. It is our main presentation of the IKI set, with Espresso Brown, Tide Blue, Charcoal and Ink Black offering alternatives. A colour is a personal choice rather than a different brewing method.
For a latte drinker: a spouted bowl
The Glaze six-piece spouted matcha set is the more useful choice when matcha is whisked separately before being poured into a glass. The spout gives the bowl a clear purpose at the pouring stage. Choose from Mist Green, Moss Green, Indigo Blue, Blossom Pink and Warm Ivory.
For someone who already has a set
Check what they already own before buying another bowl. A ceramic whisk holder gives the whisk somewhere to rest between uses. The Keep tea caddy offers a separate place for tea, but is not described as airtight; follow the tea producer's storage advice. A replacement bamboo whisk is worth considering if theirs has become damaged.
Add something useful to the gift
Send our first-bowl method alongside the set. If they prefer milk, the matcha latte guide and brew calculator give them a measured place to begin. Check the product page for the current price and availability. Free UK delivery is estimated at 3–7 working days; Christmas cut-off dates will be confirmed separately.
